FAQ
How do I book?
Please email me with the following information: name, pronouns, Instagram handle, detailed description of tattoo, placement, size (palm, hand or larger), color or back and grey or both, and finally images attached of the design for reference and your desired body part. Additional information you can provide are budget, medical information, and any other preferences. Please allow 3-7 days for a response via email victoriagoite.tattoo@gmail.com after submitting your email. Availability, deposits, price, etc. will be discussed. If it takes longer, my priority is handling my existing bookings. This information is also in my "Bookings" highlight on my Instagram page.
Do you provide numbing cream?
I do not provide numbing cream to my clients before or during the tattoo. It is typically not allowed, but discussion beforehand is necessary to know for certain. Feel free to inquire about a specific question about numbing cream if needed victoriagoite.tattoo@gmail.com.
Where is your shop?
The address of the shop is at Lucky Kat Tattoos in Chicago, IL (677 North Milwaukee Ave)! It is also easily findable on Google Maps by typing in “Lucky Kat Tattoo”. I always suggest the best parking is at West Erie St & North Milwaukee Ave by the fencing and grass next to the highway where all the parked cars are. I never get ticketed there lol! Otherwise, parking is usually permitted by the condos or pay to park in front of the shop. I don't recommend those as much because they are more likely to pass tickets there.
What is your preferred payment?
I would appreciate cash ONLY! Only deposits are through Zelle victoriagoite.tattoo@gmail.com .
What is your aftercare instruction?
The saniderm is a medical-grade & breathable tattoo bandage that will be applied after the tattoo procedure. It stays on for 3 days (no more or less) and can be slept and showered on, covered by clothes, etc. It's very adhesive so no need to worry about it falling off, just like a sticker. Ink will spill inside the plastic and that is normal! Things to avoid while it's on: any submerging in bodies of liquid such as swimming, bathing, itching or sweating (working out or anything that makes you sweat a lot like running a mountain lol). Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or tanning for the two weeks as much as possible. Purchase any non-scented and/or antibacterial soap and lotion. Things that are safe for your face are typically what I suggest. Brands I recommend are Aveeno, Lubriderm, Gold Bond, CeraVe, Cetaphil, La Roche-Posay, PanOxyl, etc. I do NOT recommend petroleum-based products such as Aquaphor for certain reasons, one being that skin regeneration requires breathable products that are light but moisturizing enough. After 3 days: 1. Peel slowly from the top to bottom with lukewarm water running underneath the plastic and on the tattoo. Peeling it dry and/or in hot water can irritate/damage skin and potentially make it peel unhealthily. 2. Wash with antibacterial and/or unscented soap (ex. soaps that you use on your face such as Cetaphil, Lubriderm, CeraVe, etc.) 3. Pat dry with a clean towel. Do not scrub dead skin/sticky parts of the saniderm. 3. Immediately moisture with unscented lotion (ex. Aveeno) 2 to 3 times daily for two weeks and repeat until the peeling stages (2 weeks) are over! Little sticky parts may stick on your skin as well after taking the bandage off, but with enough showering and washing throughout the next few days, it should come off. No need to wash, soap and scrub the skin any more than you should in the instructions. Attempting to peel the sticky parts may damage your healing process as well. After you notice the crucial peeling stages are subsiding, then it is safe to discontinue washing your tattoo. The more important component is the moisture, especially during its peeling stages and continuing it further is suggested. I always request a healed picture as soon as the peeling stages are over. I would appreciate it so I know how well the tattoo goes for you. Any questions, email me!
How should I prepare before the appointment?
Just make sure to eat, hydrate and sleep well beforehand. Hydration includes drinking plentiful of water, applying moisturizers to the skin - anything that you believe smoothens your skin. Upon entry, you will be required to present your photo ID and fill out a release form. You’re able to bring a guest with you and let them sit with you during the tattoo! Feel free to bring anything to eat and do as well as blankets and pillows to feel comfortable. I would appreciate only cash as payment, thank you so much! Lateness is sometimes inevitable, but notifying me of any kind of lateness is both professional and respectful to my time.
